Aufgrund der freien Lage des Ferienhauses und des geräumigen Garten, können Sie den ganzen Tag lang die Sonne genießen. Ihr Ferienhaus liegt mitten im Nationalpark "De Âlde Feanen" und "De Princenhof". Ein wunderschönes Gebiet mit diversen Seen, Wassergräben und bezaubernder Moorlandschaft und Sumpfgebiet in direkter Nähe. Das Außenwasser besticht durch seine hohe Schwimmqualität. Sie können direkt vom Bootsteg zu dem nahe gelegenen Moorweiher mit Sandstrand überfahren. Friesland liegt buchstäblich zu Ihren Füßen. Segeln, Schwimmen, Surfen, Rudern, Kanu oder Sloep (traditioneller Bootstyp) fahren, Angeln, Wandern, Radeln Tennis spielen, Kurzum: es ist für jeden was dabei! Der Eigentümer stellt freundlicherweise 2 Räder zur Verfügung. Lust auf einen Städtetrip? Leeuwarden, Drachten, Groningen und Heerenveen liegen in unmittelbarer Umgebung. Das Wohnzimmer bietet eine gemütliche Sitzecke und die offene Küche ist mit allen Annehmlichkeiten ausgestattet. Im Erdgeschoss befindet sich ein Schlafzimmer für 2 Personen mit Flachbild-Fernseher und ein Badezimmer mit Whirlpool. Auf der 1. Etage befinden sich 2 geräumige Schlafzimmer und ein zweites Badezimmer mit Dusche. Es gibt sogar eine Sauna und eine Sonnenbank, auf der Sie an weniger schönen Tagen auftanken können. Der Park hat diverse Einrichtungen, wie Restaurant, Geschäfte, Swimmingpool, Spielplatz, Waschsalon und Tennisplätze. Sie haben auch die Gelegenheit Sloepen, Segelboote, Kanus und Räder zu mieten. Comfortable heritage guesthouse located at an extraordinary location. The cotton mill is situated near the forest, along the edge of Veenhuizen and is an ideal starting point for some fantastic walks, bike rides, or perhaps just to enjoy a good book by the wood stove. ‘Just letting off some steam’ is therefore a very typical expression for a stay at this extraordinary property. This former cotton mill was created as a colony for tramps, beggars and orphans from the big towns. A massive difference compared to the current situation. Now you can enjoy the simply breathtaking tranquillity in a beautiful building! Three double apartments have been realised in the old dormitory. No excessive luxury or trinkets, but with respect for the surrounding area and building’s history. For example, the original floor from 1839 has been preserved. Your apartment is equipped with a living room with a wood stove, an open kitchen, a bedroom void and a bathroom. You can enjoy the sun going down from your terrace, with views across the estates, or perhaps relax on the seat which can be found underneath the hundred year old chestnut tree in front of the complex, daydreaming about long forgotten times. Veenhuizen, situated in the North of Drenthe at Friesland’s border, isn’t purely famous because of its beautiful nature, but also as a result of its rich history. Veenhuizen’s history is still evident everywhere; during a visit to the ‘Tuinen van Weldadigheid’ (Gardens of Benevolence), ‘Bitter en Zoet’ (Bitter and Sweet) and ‘Het Gevangenismuseum’ (The Prison Museum). Visits to the Verweij Goldsmith, the Drenthe Museum, the Groningen Museum or Museum Belvédere Oranjewoude also come highly recommended.

De verschillende type bungalows liggen verspreid over het waterrijke Buitenplaats It Wiid. Je hebt de keuze uit een 4-pers. (NL-9264-02, type 2-onder-1-kap), een 5-pers. (NL-9264-04), een 6-pers. variant (NL-9264-06) en een 8-pers. variant (NL-9264-07). Van de 4- en 8-pers. types is ook een wellnessvariant te boeken, resp. NL-9264-03 en NL-9264-08. Bij deze types heb je de beschikking over een afwasmachine, zonnebank en sauna. Vrijwel alle bungalows hebben een fraaie ligging aan het water en een eigen aanlegsteiger en zijn per boot bereibaar (max. breedte 2 m. en max. diepgang 0,90 m.). Alle bungalows beschikken over een tuin met terras en tuinmeubiliar.
