The Type D holiday home is situated in a 35 hectare country estate in the province of Drenthe, on the edge of a protected nature reserve and close to Hooghalen. Thanks to this central location the Type D holiday home forms an ideal base for day trips and for walking and cycling tours through the vast natural landscape. Within only five minutes you can drive from Type D to the pleasant shopping town of Assen and within half an hour you already find yourself in the historical town of Groningen. Moreover, in the small-scale park of the De Ekster you will find an (indoor) swimming pool and a good restaurant. On the ground floor of Type D you find the living room with French windows or sliding doors giving access to the furnished terrace. The seating area has a television and the open-plan kitchen is equipped with all modern conveniences. Finally there is a dining table seating six. One of the bathrooms and one bedroom are on the ground floor. On the first floor you can find the second bathroom and the other two bedrooms. From the Type D holiday home you walk directly into the woods and the heathlands where you can find grazing Scottish Highlanders. In the park itself there is, among other things, a covered swimming pool with sauna and Turkish steam bath, a restaurant and a pub. For the youngsters there is a children’s club, a jungle forest, a bouncy castle, and there are playgrounds. You can make use of all the facilities in the park every day. During the early and late season facilities will remain open for limited periods. The layout/furnishings, exterior and location of the holiday homes may vary. Even though precautions will be taken in order to cause as little invonvenience as possible, we would like to inform you that construction activies will take place.
