Holiday house Claar is Kees is a former workers home near the city centre of Leyden. From here you can walk along the ancient waterways and canals into the heart of the city, but you’re also just a few kilometers away from the North Sea and its beaches. The old university city of Leyden has a lot to offer. It carries its second name ‘Museumcity’ for a reason, and there are numerous beautiful sites and historical buildings to see. Of course there are many fine restaurants and bars along the canals and the city has a wide variety of shops. Holiday home Claar is Kees is over a century old and is situated in a small dead end street near the centre. On the ground floor is the living room with a cosy sitting area (you could use the sofa bed if you want) and the dining table for four. The half open kitchen is fit with all necessary appliances. From the kitchen you have access to the typical sheltered city garden, where you can really enjoy the sun. There are two bedrooms on the first floor. The master bedroom has a double bed, the other room has a bunk bed. The bathroom is fit with a shower. There is an internet connection available and a kids’ playground is just a few hundred meters away as is a beautiful park. From house Claar is Kees you can easily walk into the centre of Leyden. Visit one of the many museums or the recently restored city citadel or one of the many other interesting places. A street with a bakery and some more shops is around the corner, and the bus stop and train station alre both on walking distance. The surroundings of the city are worth a visit as well. You will find all watersport facilities along the Kaag Lakes and the beaches of Noordwijk and Katwijk are nearby too. The Hague is at 20 minutes by car and cities like Haarlem, Amsterdam, Delft and Utrecht are easy to reach to. There is a trainstation at a few hundred meters from the house.
