Sie schauen auch auf den Deich, auf dem Sie viele Spaziergänger und Fahrradfahrer vorbeikommen sehen. Ihr Ferienhaus liegt auf dem Grundstück der Eigentümer, die eine Gärtnerei betreiben. Deren Talent spiegelt sich in verschiedenen an das Landhaus angrenzenden Modellgärten wider. Das Ferienhaus „Achter de Waal" bietet ausreichend Privatsphäre. Von außen wie auch von innen hat dieses in Tiel liegende hölzerne Landhaus eine gemütliche Ausstrahlung. Verscholen in het Achterhoekse coulisselandschap, in het dorp Rekken, ligt deze vakantiewoning op een boerderij. Zowel de boerderij als de omgeving ademen de sfeer van authenticiteit. Geniet van de rust en ruimte en het uitzicht over de omliggende weilanden, met grazende schapen en scharrelende kippen. De omgeving is bijzonder geschikt voor het maken van mooie wandel- en fietstochten. Bijvoorbeeld in natuurgebied het Haaksbergerveen. Dit gebied ligt aan de zuidkant van Haaksbergen, tegen de Duitse grens aan. De lieflijke dorpjes, kronkelende weggetjes, groene weilanden en bos staan centraal in de omgeving van Rekken. Bezienswaardigheden in de nabijheid van het vakantiehuis zijn onder andere de Mallumse molen en het Zwillbröcker Venn en de barokkerk in Zwillbröck, net over de grens op circa 2km afstand. Het centrum van Enschede ligt op 25km afstand.
