Beemsterhof
This traditional Dutch farmhouse built in the shape of a cheese bell is comfortable and spacious and is uniquely situated in Beemster, which was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1999. The area owes its status to its 17th-century polder landscape that is still almost wholly intact. The surrounding area is ideal for walking and cycling. It is also possible to explore the region from the many waterways. Bicycles can be hired from the owner. Several large cities and towns, such as Alkmaar, Hoorn and Amsterdam, are just a 30-minute drive away. The farmhouse and hall have been completely renovated with the inclusion of authentic details that preserve the atmosphere of the original farmhouse. In the hall there is a living area with an open kitchen and a large dining table – perfect for meals and also for playing games. On the ground floor there are three double bedrooms (one of which has wheelchair access). On the first floor there are another two bedrooms that sleep four. All of the bedrooms have their own ensuite bathroom. The farmhouse has a large garden with various fruit trees. Children are welcome to use the go-karts.
