De Pastorie

The authentic nineteenth-century De Pastorie is located in the rural village of Oostwoud. This holiday home, sleeping ten, has a steam shower, a sauna space and welcoming woodstoves. The spacious rear garden lies next to a waterway connecting to rivers and canals and is completely fenced off, so that children can play here to their heart’s content. You enter De Pastorie via the long hallway with original ceiling features. The holiday home has two sitting rooms. On the right hand side you will find the television room with a woodstove where children can curl up together and enjoy themselves. On the left is the living room, also with a welcoming woodstove. Adjacent to the living room there is a conservatory, which is a great place to read a book. The kitchen diner is next to the garden and is equipped with all modern conveniences. There are various seating areas and an outdoor fireplace in the spacious garden, so that you will always be able to find a sheltered space to relax. In De Pastorie there is also a separate sauna space and a steam shower to help you unwind totally. On the first floor of the holiday home are four bedrooms and the bathroom with a bathtub and a separate shower. From some of the bedrooms and the roof terrace you have a wide view over the pastures and meadows. On the second floor is a spacious attic with sleeping space for two people and possibly for a baby. With the motor boat, offering space for six people, you can go for a sailing trip through the pastures and meadows in the direction of the Egboetswater nature reserve (which can also be reached on foot) and the Vlietlandenmeer lake. You can even get to Medemblik and the IJsselmeer lake. The welcoming small harbour town of Medemblik and the IJsselmeer are only a ten minute drive away. During your stay you can also pay a visit to lively shopping towns such as Hoorn, Enkhuizen, and the cheese-making town Alkmaar, with picturesque squares and pavement cafes. In the village of Oostwoud itself there is a sauna and "wellness" complex with a beauty salon, only a three minute walk from De Pastorie. At the end of the street you will find an outdoor swimming pool. At the IJsselmeer lake you will find, among other things, a nice playground, a children’s farm (where children can pet small animals), mini-golf, an indoor swimming pool and a golf course (18 holes).
