Noorderhaven

Beautiful historical Harlingen knows over 500 superb monumental buildings. The splendid restored Zoutsloot lies directly behind the Noorderhaven. This old port-city has much to offer for the young as well as the old. A 5 minutes walk brings you to the sea. You will find a freely accessible beach just one and a half kilometre from the house. A new playground for the children is again within walking distance. The ‘Voorstraat’ is the main street of Harlingen. The centre of Harlingen is teeming with terraces, cafes and restaurants – and, most importantly for the shopping enthusiast, small shops boutiques. When you want to do some shopping, just cross one of the three old bridges. This beautifully restored house at the harbour has a sociable, sunny living room and is styled with care. The open, luxurious kitchen and dining table are situated a couple of steps higher. From here you have a beautiful view on the outside terrace and the coming and going ferryboats. The old, characteristic house has several levels and is therefore suitable for people who don’t mind the steps. On the upper floor you’ll find the cosy bedrooms. Two double rooms, and one single bedroom. The bathroom is largely and luxuriously. A separate shower is available. The roof terrace offers you a nice view at all the activity in and around the harbours of Harlingen.
